030. 19 December 2008 - No more!
Time is short these days, and I am trying to make the most of it. I will be posting multiples every now and then, to keep up to date, so please check the others as well.
This is Shaun. He's a really good man, looking after all the strays in Dubai (I am one of them). He was getting a little tired of being photographed, he thinks he isn't a good subject. The whole Meyer family make for wonderful subjects, and I noticed that my dailies were lacking a bit of personality.
Hence this contribution! Shaun... and the focus was perfect, although I can't really imagine what he was thinking... :)
Color this photo with you comments - what was he thinking?

on December 21, 2008Love this shot! I have had a number of reluctant subjects, too...frustrating, but rewarding when you win them over. A woman from my work hates to have her photo taken. I happened to get a great shot of her at last years holiday party and recently it came up in conversation about those photos and she asked if she could have a copy of that one I took of her for her parents... I made a bunch of prints for her and brought them into work. I was not happy with my printer, so it was quite varied from b&w to desaturation, glamour glow, etc. She threw her arms around me and thanked me that she loved them and was so excited to share them. The other girls in the office said she had really like the pic, but hadn't wanted to bother me...no bother at all is it when your photography is appreciated. He should enjoy the fun of this shot, too!
